The POLINI EXPLOSION racing cylinder for the Vespa GTS 300 models reaches a displacement of real 293 cc thanks to its 77 mm bore compared to the standard cylinder with 278 cc displacement. This means a significant increase in displacement.

The cylinder is made of high-quality aluminum and has a steel liner with Nikasil coating. This design is based on modern racing engines and ensures high strength and durability. An exclusive feature in the scooter market is the HTR ring (High Turbulence Ring). This ring not only improves the squish effect, which describes the acceleration of the gasoline-air mixture in the combustion chamber, but also allows a larger contact surface for the cylinder head gasket. This ensures much higher reliability of this important component.
The specially designed piston of the racing cylinder is designed to achieve the best compression ratio. It has wide squish surfaces to match the original headstock. This optimizes engine performance and efficiency.
Significant power increases can be achieved by installing the POLINI racing cylinder, which is especially important for sporting applications or tuning projects. However, it is important to note that the installation of a racing cylinder requires additional adjustments to other engine components and appropriate tuning to utilize the engine’s full potential and ensure engine reliability.
